HISTORY

The Neurosignal Analysis Lab has been established in 2009 at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering in Bogazici University Kandilli Campus. The history of EEG  research in the Institute of Biomedical Engineering goes back to the beginning of 1990s with a strong emphasis on signal processing in collabaration with the EEG laboratory at the Department of Physiology in Istanbul Medical School.

Early studies were focused on analyzing the EEG data reflecting the human sensory/cognitive behavior under normal physiological and clinical conditions.

By the 2000s, we started to study the cognitive and clinical EEG data using the source reconstruction algorithms and by the 2010’s  accessibility to the fMRI data enabled us to develop new ways to obtain brain images based on EEG-fMRI integration.
